In Ieb Translation Services, we translate over 12 million words per year: English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Portuguese and Asian and Arabic languages; all of them in all their combinations. We specialize in legal and medical translations.

Every translation service, according to the standard ISO 17100:2015, must go through at least two stages: translation and revision. In our quality control process, we have three stages. The so-called translation is only one of the stages of the process.

As the production stage commences, our quality control process begins, based on guidelines, deadlines and quality checks requested by the client and whichever other items that might be required.

The quality control process is divided into three separate processes, which are IQC (incoming quality control), IPQC (in-process quality control) and OQC (outgoing quality control). Each of the participants in the translation process possesses excellent professional skills: not only translators but also reviewers and project managers involved in production.

The Stages

We receive your project.

The Projects Department receives the client’s request and instructions and conducts a preliminary analysis.

Production Managers (PMs) receive the project, analyze it and assign it to the best linguists. Our Production Department follows up the linguists through the translation and edition process.

The translator does the translation and delivers a revised translation to our PMs.

The editor checks the translation making the necessary changes and assesses the translator’s performance.

The editor delivers the reviewed file with the Quality report of the CAT tool used. If no Cat tool was used, the editor delivers an MS Word file with Track Changes on and a Clean copy.

Production Managers receive the translation and verify that all the files were delivered and that they can be opened (they have not been corrupted)

The Final Eye Department conducts a thorough revision of the delivered project to recheck everything is perfect.

Finally, the Projects Department PM receives the files to be delivered, conducts a final quick review and delivers the translation to the client.
